What's your favourite beauty item at the moment?

My current favorite beauty item would have to be the Revlon Matte Balm in the shade showy. Its such a gorgeous neon pink, similar to MAC Candy yum yum and despite being wary of a matte finish, this isn't too drying and applies really creamy!

If you had to give up blogging or Tweeting, which would it be?

This is a difficult one as I love reading other people's tweets but don't tweet that often myself so I would probably give up tweeting. Plus I enjoy writing blog posts more.

Dream holiday?

There are so many places I want to go in the world but I'd love to tour America as there is so much to see: Shopping in New york, surfing in California and riding roller coasters at Disneyworld!

When and why did you start blogging?

I started to write blog posts around three years ago but always ended up deleting my blog because I wasn't happy with it. I started blogging on Vogue Beach a year ago because I love fashion and because I have an obscene amount of makeup that I should put to good use!

Eyeshadow or lipstick?

Definitely eyeshadow, I cannot function without a smokey eye!

Who is your celebrity crush?

Hmm I have quite a few, I would say Chris Hemsworth because his six-pack is the only reason I sat

through Thor, (even though my friend thinks he looks like a llama.)

Favourite quote?

I am actually finding Ru Paul's drag race very inspirational right now my favourite quotes being 'If you can't love yourself, how the hell are you going to love anybody else?' and 'Don't fuck it up.'

Name one thing you're most looking forward to this year.

I am super excited for summer this year because I have made a huge bucket list with my best friend and can't wait to break up from school I plan to explore the city and spend long, lazy days watching films.

Do you have any pets?

I have a blue-mitted ragdoll cat called Misty and a Persian/Norwegian forest cross called Alfie and they are my pride and joy.

What's your favourite album right now?

My taste in music changes constantly but right now my favourite album would have to be Drake 'Nothing was the same' and I am going to see him in March at the MEN. So excited!

Do you have any advice or tips for your readers?

My advice would be to not get weighed down by day to day negativity and focus on positive goals and aspirations :)

Naked Basics Palette: Taupe matte smokey eye

This look was inspired by Cara Delevingne in the Burberry AW 2012 campaigns. The look is a very blown-out taupe smokey eye that intensifies at the lashline. I really like this look as it is dramatic without being too dark, I used the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette to create this look and I highly recommend it. All the shadows are pigmented and buttery soft so they blend like a dream. Crave is my favourite matte black eyeshadow as it is so pigmented and intense compared to many other matte black shadows such as MAC Carbon which swatch grey rather than true black.

OOTD: Palm Print

So the weather is the nicest it has been in a while and so i decided to take advantage and pull out the Topshop crop top and palm print jeans that just make me feel as though summer is starting - Despite the fact they resemble marajuana... a lot. Here is todays outfit, sorry about the serious face I was just probably thinking about how much pain I was going to be in after walking a mile in these shoes!

I was having a very un-photogenic day so here is my EOTD:

Brows      - Mac fluidline gelcreme in dirty blonde

Base         - Maybelline 24h colour tattoo in on and on bronze

Lid           - No7 wheatsheaf stay perfect eyeshadow

Crease     - Mac kid eye shadow and urban decay naked 2

Waterline - Urban decay glide on eye pencil in underground

wing        - Barry M fine glitter dust shade 22

Mascara  - Revlon grow luscious blackened brown

I used a sheer black shadow to create a soft smokey wing and a cat eye effect that adds a subtle bit of drama to my go to gold/bronze smokey eye look. Also I am really loving this mascara at the moment!

The foundation debate: Series 2

Here is another batch of foundations I have tried and my thoughts on them, I will list what shade I am, and I am a mac NC20 for reference.

Bourjois healthy mix serum - 52:

 This is my favourite drugstore foundation so far. First of all it smells amazing and gives a healthy satin finish to the skin (and by healthy I don't mean full on oil slick) the coverage is light to medium and shade 52 is a light yellow undertone which I love. The foundation doesn't last for 16hrs as the product claims but still has quite a good staying power. The only reason I am still looking for the perfect foundation is because this foundation does tend to get shiny throughout the day and the coverage is quite light, a really good foundation I just get bored easily and want to try new products.

Bourjois healthy mix - 53:

 I adore the smell of this foundation, it reminds me of summer but the heavy scent is something to bear in mind for people with sensitive skin although I don't find it unpleasant. This foundation gives light to medium coverage although the shades are darker than the serum version and the formula is thicker. This is not a foundation that has good oil control properties though although the finish is supposedly semi matte.

N07 BB Cream for oily skin types - fair:

I really liked this product when I first got it as I found it blurred imperfections and gave quite good coverage. However in winter the lighter shade is way too orange and the oil control is not good even though the product is meant for oily skin I found I had to powder every 2 hours throughout the day.

Revlon Colourstay - 180 sand beige:

 I love this shade of foundation when first applied it is a light beige with golden/yellow undertones. The positives about this foundation are: good colour range, good coverage, long lasting, and quite good oil control as there are 2 foundations to cater for oily or dry skin types so obviously I got the one for oily skin. This foundation oxidises quite a bit and I have noticed that if I put it on in the morning, by the time I get to school it is 2 shades darker, The smell is quite strong and reminds me of paint which I actually quite like but I know some people won’t. Although the foundation claims to be lightweight I find it very heavy and thick and even the finest dusting of powder makes it cakey. The other concern I have with this product is it breaks me out, a lot as in cystic bumps which I haven't experienced with any other foundation and it seems to be just my shade as my friend has the shade 160 buff and hasn't experienced any problems with it but after trying my shade she had the same reaction. I use this foundation for going out as it doens't have as much flashback as my Dior skinforever and lasts well with good coverage.
