OOTD: Chopper biker tee and statement crystal collar necklace with Mac Viva Glam 1

Sorry for being MIA once again! As well as transitioning into life in a different part of the UK i have also been recovering from a shoulder operation - cue sleepless nights, coedine and a morphine overdose :)

However I have subsequently returned from the grave and I'm happy to say that I have settled into uni life and the routine of librabry, Lidl and laundry. Decorating my own space has been fun and I've collected a few homeware items and may do a post on personalising dorm rooms in the future.

Here is a classic Grace outfit, all black, aggressive biker tee shirt offset with a huge statement necklace and my favourite red lip - Mac viva glam 1. I find that some reds really don't look good with my hair colour and I end up looking a bit like an 80's stripper but this shade has just enough depth to it whilst still giving off the appearance of a classic red.

I am currently obsessed with these boots which I sourced from Zara via eBay, they're a really comfortable heel height for everyday wear and I love the patent leopard print in combination with printed tee shirts.

Today was supposed to be dedicated to reading the 338383949 journals I have to read for my English Literature course but instead I am proud to say my tumblr is now on point...

FOTD and OOTD: Motley Crue - Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Primark with Makeup Geek Vegas Lights Pigment

Top: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: Topshop, Cardigan: Primark, Boots: Primark, Necklace: Lyla Loves, Bag: Primark, Beanie Boohoo, Teddy coat: Topshop

Hey everyone!
Here is a wintery sort of OOTD featuring this Motley Crue tee shirt which I bought in the Urban Outfitters black Friday sale and have become obsessed with. This top is also featured in the Grunge date night outfits video on my Youtube channel so feel free to check it out.

I have to talk about this pigment though, lord above. Makeup Geek Vegas lights was beamed down by celestial alien gods. Yes its hella messy because it has no sifter but it is the perfect glittery copper shade that looks stunning on blue or green or any eyes to be honest. This is one of my favourite pigments at the moment so, buy it.

I layered this fluffy, speckled cardigan over it which is from Primark. This cardigan is amazing because not only is it super soft, it also has huge pockets which provide a cosy little pouch for my iphone. I think I have a problem with having to hold my phone constantly or at least being able to see it, does anyone else find it comforting to have that smooth screen within reach at all times of the day?

Primark also turned out the grey croc shoulder bag and these knee high boots which were reduced to £15 and provide the perfect amount of height for day time. I originally wanted a pair of over the knee boots but I felt I looked too much like this:

Whatever happened to Bratz dolls anyway? Did barbie sue them? Why did they not have a nose? So many important questions...

So... I'm on Youtube!

Me and my best friend Charlotte recently went to watch the 1975 gig in Manchester which is as any fan will know, the boys' home town. We decided to film an outfit video and pre-concert vlog with a little footage from the actual concert, well to be honest the bits that we weren't hysterically screaming over!
I would really appreciate it if you could check out our channel and show your support by subscribing or liking as we have a lot more to come!

OOTN: Concert outfit

Here is what I wore to the Arctic Monkey's gig in Liverpool on Monday, excuse the messy background, I was in a rush!
I layered a cut off tartan shirt over a distressed biker style vest to add a grunge twist to the glamorous faux fur coat which turned out to be a lifesaver, we queued outside the arena for nearly an hour in the freezing cold! The biker boots help to toughen up the look while the necklace adds a bit of detail.

Shorts - eBay
Vest top - Topshop
Shirt - New look
Necklace - H&M
Coat - River Island

Truly Madly Deeply at Urban Outfitters Tee Shirts

Recently I've been doing a lot of online browsing as I feel my wardrobe is seriously lacking in the tee-shirt department. I fell in love with nearly all of the Truly Madly Deeply tee shirts on the Urban Outfitter's website as they have a cool rock/metal feel to them, punk fashion being a huge trend this Winter.

I will admit I am often guilty of wearing head to toe black but these tee shirts would add detail and instant style to any outfit. They would look great with leather pants and some chunky statement jewellery!

Here are my top picks of the Truly Madly Deeply tops:

Also this month I've been addicted to the app Wanelo where you can create wishlists of products you like and follow your favourite stores. I've been utilising this app regularly after Wantworthy was shut down which I am devastated about!

A day at the fair

It has been a beautiful bank holiday Monday and I've had an amazing day so I'm in a really good mood. We headed to Knutsford fair  and straight for the crazy fast spinning ride which was the worst decision ever as I felt ill for 2 hours afterwards! As a roller coaster lover, heights and fast speeds don't bother me but the spinning motion? just no. After the worlds crappiest burger, we left the fair and sunbathed in the park before heading home. To end the day I walked to a beer garden with Charlotte for drink.

I created a colourful eye look today and left my bronze smokey eye comfort zone. I really liked the results and thought I would share with you the products I used.

This is the overall look, I fancied a change so I curled my hair, plus I felt mermaid waves kind of went with the eye.

The lower swatch is of the colours I blended to achieve the petrol smokey eye.

Base: MeMeMe dew pot in autumn smoulder
Inner corner: MAC Vanilla pigment

Lid:
Inner 3rd: Duo-chrome blue/green from an old YSL palette (A similar colour would be something like Tilt from MAC)
Centre: I used the shimmery teal green from my Rimmel quad in 014 Bold behaviour ( a dupe would be Teal or Gulfstream from MAC)
Outer 3rd - MAC Cranberry

Crease: I didn't really define my crease too much to avoid detracting attention from the lid. I used a tiny amount of Kid from MAC to transition the colours.
Lower lashline: I repeated the same colours as on the lid but used my Urban decay 24/7 glide on eyepencil in underground as a base as it is waterproof and will prevent fallout or transfer under the eyes throughout the day.

Mascara: Lancome hypnose star, really need a new one of these, mine has dried up loads!

The finished look:

Here is what the make-up would look like with false lashes. I used Ardell demi pixies as these lashes are quite subtle and so the eyeshadows are still the focus of the look. I chose not to wear lashes with the look as I wanted the look to be more grunge than glamour.
