MAC TEMPERATURE RISING LIPSTICKS

In a recent Cheshire Oaks CCO haul I picked up two lipsticks from the MAC Temperature rising collection. The bronze packaging has a velvet matte feel similar to the Nars packaging which I like as it feels luxurious.

Feel my pulse is a cremesheen finish and a gorgeous violet magenta shade. A lot of celebrities have been rocking a purple lip this season and I was particularly inspired by a picture of Khloe Kardashian. I already owned Rebel lipstick however Rebel definitely leans more red whereas feel my pulse is a true violet. Despite this being quite an intimidating shade in the bullet I am excited to experiment with this lipstick!

This is such a beautiful bold shade of violet and I can see this becoming my go to statement lip for Fall!

Altered beige is a beige nude with a Lustre finish and gives a beautiful sheer wash of colour to the lips. This is a really flattering nude that would suit a wide range of people and doesn't give the 'foundation lip' look.

As you can see from the swatch, Altered beige is a very sheer shade, however this complements a dramatic eye look without washing out the complexion.

ALL SAINTS OUTLET AND CCO MINI HAUL

With the promise of an All saints outlet and a CCO, we decided to make the journey to Cheshire Oaks and despite nearly an hour in the car and getting lost it was definitely worth the trek!
In all saints I found the silk biker vest I'd been wanting for as long as I can remember for £10 with only a minor defect and an additional 30% discount off the marked price! It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up and as I hunted through the rails I came across this gorgeous hand embellished top reduced to £10 from £195! I was shocked at what a good deal I got and couldn't believe I got £230 worth of clothes for just £17.

From CCO I got two MAC lipsticks from the temperature rising collection. I have an upcoming blog post on these lipsticks so stay tuned!

Recent purchases

Fall is almost here and I thought I would share two of my most recent purchases with you. Of course fall means back to black so I felt the need update my collection of ankle boots with these gorgeous 'Axis black cut out boots' from Miss Selfridge. They are super comfy and look amazing with skinny jeans or leggings. I can also wear these for 6th form with black tailored trousers. I love the cut out buckle detail that gives them a cute, western feel.

The second item I am beyond excited about, it is this amazing oriental print shirt from Zara. This is no longer available in store or on-line unfortunately, but I got mine off eBay for £29.99. I like the crossover detail and how is is quite low cut so you could pair it with a cute bralet or bandeau top. The print is beautiful and the silky fabric kind of reminds me of pyjamas. The shirt feels very oriental and is reminiscent of the earlier bond girls. I am so in love with this piece and cannot wait to wear it!

2013 Resolutions

So this is my mood board for 2013, I NEED TO GO BACK TO BLONDE. My caramel hair was nice while it lasted but I can't deny that am a blonde at heart so my quest to return to a blonde bombshell begins.

I am also on the hunt this year for my HG foundation, i have tried so many foundations over the years and still haven't found a foundation that lasts all day, stays matte, is the right colour match and not cakey. Is that too much to ask?

Fashion wise my resolution is to de-scale my wardrobe to make way for more clothes that I will actually wear to create a Gok Wan style capsule wardrobe... well slightly bigger but you get the picture.  I will be ruthless in sifting through the mountain of clothes i have accumulated because i always end up keeping things 'just in case' or because i feel bad but my style has evolved a lot over the past 5 years. 11 year old rock chick progressed to Emo then the style rebound to flowery dresses in the English rose stage, then to skater-girl and now i have reached a point where i buy what i like regardless of whether it fits a certain look. However my wardrobe does consist of mainly monochrome and neutrals with a lot of PU leather.

My other resolution for 2013 is to get healthy, once Christmas is over and done with you realise in horror the amount of crap you've consumed over the holiday ( Lindt reindeer for breakfast anyone?) so i have equipped my room for a post-Christmas health kick. Happy new year everyone, bring on 2013!
