Ilamasqua Berber Pigment and Zala Hair Extensions

Red eyeshadow is something I would have previously associated with the mad hatter, 90's goth and general illness. However I have been collecting the Illamasqua pure pigments which have by far the best formula I have tried. Berber is a shade that I swatched every time I went into Selfridges but never bought, my mum bought it me for Christmas and I have been obsessed with it ever since.

Berber is a dark red copper shade but definitely more red than orange, with stunning fine glitter particles similar to those in the Ore pigment.

Red smokey eyes are now one of my favourite staple looks, being dramatic and glamorous yet more edgy than the standard brown or black smokey eye.

My extensions from Zala Hair, an Australian extensions brand  are my pride and joy. I'm like a proud show pony with all the wefts in, they're the only extension brand I found that have a shade light enough to match my white hair and the best part about these extensions is that they are a true white pearl shade with silver undertones - hence no toning required! I would highly recommend this brand as the customer service team are incredibly helpful - being an idiot I ordered the 16 inch set trying to be cheap, before realising that my hair is nearly waist length....

Woodwinked is one of my holy-grail MAC eye-shadows and a fail safe option for both daytime and night time looks. This warm golden shade is one of the veluxe pearl finishes and provides opaque coverage, high pigmentation and buttery soft application. I would definitely recommend Woodwinked to anyone who does not already have this shade in their collection as it is a truly beautiful eye-shadow.

I am not usually a fan of shimmer in the crease however in combination with the golden lid colour, a warm brown shimmer creates a soft bronze smokey eye whilst still providing definition.

I have also been loving NARS Chelsea girls lip lacquer ever since receiving it as a Christmas gift from Charlotte Radcliffe of Exploring Wardrobes. I have been using this product religiously as it creates the perfect nude pink colour and has amazing longevity.

Fall 2013

Summer is drawing to a close here in England and while I will miss cycling on warm afternoons and relaxing in the park, I am looking forward to the amber and russet leaves floating down from the trees as the evenings get darker. Snuggling under a blanket and watching Netflix on rainy afternoons is a comfort that just isn't the same at any other time of year. Not to mention Halloween, bonfire night and Christmas, autumn winter is undoubtedly my favourite time of year.

A new season calls for a new wardrobe and I am feeling a style overhaul brewing. I am looking into building my collection of basics to layer with fine knits and adding more boots to my ever-expanding shoe collection. My colour palette will be a mixture of black, neutrals and deep jewel tones. I have been liking more western styles lately like these gorgeous buckled ankle boots from Miss Selfridge which would look amazing paired with coated skinny jeans. I plan on layering lots of silver and gunmetal jewellery and who knows I may even be brave enough to pull off a hat? We shall see...

Winter is the season for vampy, dramatic make-up so I am in my element as I really get to experiment with different looks. I am excited to wear rich opulent tones on the eyes with deep, berry-stained lips. An inky black lash line is another of my favourite looks to wear in fall as it really makes the eye colour pop.

It is truly a season of change in all respects as I am also starting 6th form this september which is both exciting and scary at the same time, however I look forward to the challenge and a change of scene. Bring on Fall!
